Inside Sales Representative

Electric Cloud is looking for Inside Sales Representative to join their worldwide sales team. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate success in selling technical products over the phone while showing a deep understanding of the software development process. The primary responsibilities of this position include pursuing new business, demonstrating technical solutions on-line, and closing sales. The position requires a minimum of five years of high-tech experience (with at least three years selling). Experience working in a start-up and the ability to execute on strategy will be key to the success of this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing sales process from beginning to end including qualification through close
  • Following up on downloads
  • Identify key customer needs
  • Articulating the value proposition targeted at customer needs
  • Demonstrating Electric Cloud software solutions to prospects via LiveMeeting
  • Answer licensing, feature, platform support, and 3rd party interoperability questions
  • Develop and walk customers through ROI analysis

Experience:

  • 5 years of high-tech experience
  • 3 years of demonstrated success in selling technical solutions over the phone
  • Proven success selling a technical product over the phone
  • Knowledge of the software development space (Understanding of the dev tool chain, understand the typical roles in a software development organization, understand development methodologies (waterfall, Agile, TDD))
  • Technical background
  • Understanding of critical business drivers for software development
  • Strong verbal, presentation, written, and organizational skills
  • Self-starter

  • Bachelors Degree required
